Today, Cohere and Ensemble Health Partners announced a partnership to bring secure agentic AI to some of healthcare’s most complex workflows. Together, we will provide healthcare providers, clinical teams, and revenue cycle teams a purpose-built advanced agentic AI system that reduces administrative burdens while maintaining the robust security and compliance standards that healthcare operations require.

As part of the partnership, Ensemble will use a customized version of North by Cohere, our secure AI agents platform, to help reduce administrative friction, improve financial performance, and elevate the patient experience for hospitals and health systems. This will be the first application of North for the healthcare industry, a key sector for Cohere due to its data security requirements. The platform is optimized for secure deployments so businesses in regulated industries can safely integrate all their sensitive data in one place to unlock significant productivity and efficiency gains.

Ensemble will use North to quickly build and deploy specialized AI agents that can leverage various disparate data sources, including several EHR systems, internal tools, and industry data. These agents can also understand industry-specific language to help manage complex claim analysis, like billing and insurance codes, contract terms, and payer-specific rules. These capabilities enable the company to automate complex processes that require orchestration across traditionally fragmented revenue cycle functions, including accounts receivable collections and utilization management. With seamless integration into the data sources that matter most to their employees and customers, North will help Ensemble maximize benefits for healthcare providers and patients.
