Jason Lucas attained a B.S. degree in Information Technology at St. George's University, Grenada. He has also achieved Master's degrees in Public Health, with a concentration in epidemiology at St. George's University, and Computer Information Systems, with a concentration in Health Informatics at Boston University. Jason is entering his 4th year as a Ph.D. candidate at Penn State University, focusing on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research in Informatics and Linguistics. As part of the College of Information Sciences and Technology, he conducts research at the PIKE Research Lab under the guidance of Dr. Dongwon Lee.

His research interest at the PIKE Lab focuses on applying NLP and machine learning techniques to combat dis/misinformation across languages, contexts, and distribution gaps. At Penn State, Jason is also a FEGR scholar and an NSF LinDiv Fellow. His mission is to mitigate evolving security, public health, social threats, and risks and enhance access to human language technology with cutting-edge solutions. Beyond his research aspirations, Jason stays active through dance, fitness, martial arts, and community service.
