Cohere For AI - Guest Speaker: Allen Chang, PhD Student at UPenn NLP

We will explore quality-diversity optimization to improve fairness across skin tones in facial recognition systems by sampling diverse, synthetic facial datasets from the generative StyleGAN2 model

Allen's Bio: Allen Chang is an incoming PhD student at UPenn NLP, where he will be advised by Prof. Mark Yatskar. Previously, he completed his BS in Computer Science at the University of Southern California (USC) working with Profs. Maja Matarić, Jesse Thomason, and Stefanos Nikolaidis. His current interests are language grounding, social inference and reasoning, and learning from synthetic data.
